AU Background: The theme of Homestuck is that you're going to play a game. It's name is Sgrub, or Sburb, depending on which race you're talking about. For the trolls, it's Sgrub. This game has a very specific purpose. Creating new universes, while destroying old ones in the process. The game destroys the universe of the people playing, but gives them the resources to create a new one. The success rate of games is incredibly low. More often than not sessions are either doomed or null. The session in RDV is a doomed session, meant to be scratched to become the canon session of Homestuck.

In RDV the trolls have all moved down on the hemospectrum by five (5) colors. This makes Vriska a brown blood (having previously been a cerulean blood). RDV does not switch lusii around, instead keeping them to their respective blood colors. This means that Vriska's lusus is now Tinkerbull instead of Spidermom. Because she is a brown blood, she is also now a farmer instead of pseudo-aristocracy. She lives on a farm, tending to hoofbeasts, and doing chores.

Our mutant blood in this session is Kanaya, and unlike Karkat from canon, she comes clean about her blood color. Which becomes a pretty big Problem. She's marked by the Empire for culling. Vriska is the first that Kanaya outs her blood color to, and Vriska implores her not to tell anyone else at first. Kanaya vanishes shortly after outing herself to everyone else, and Vriska interrogates their circle of friends. She doesn't see her for a full dark season. Kanaya shows up at her hive injured, and this starts a cycle of Kanaya moving around to almost all of the trolls' hives in their circle (with few exceptions) while trying to hide from the Empire. This also goes on up until it's time for them to play Sgrub.

Like her canon counterpart and also Tavros, Vriska FLARPs. When she first starts FLARPing, it's for fun and not really super competitive for her. This changes over the course of RDV as the Empire labels Kanaya as a rare FLARP mob and Vriska has to get serious to protect her. She begins picking off people that would hurt Kanaya through it. So, while she's not still feeding a giant spider lusus, she's still killing people through FLARP like her canon self did. It's during this time that Vriska and Kanaya wordlessly become moirails, as Vriska tries to take care of and protect her. Much like canon goes, Kanaya's leanings towards Vriska are in the flushed variety instead of the pale variety.

Vriska is in contact with Doc Scratch in RDV in a similar vein that she was in canon. She is his pawn, does as he instructs/coerces her for the sake of protecting Kanaya. The times where Vriska doesn't do as Doc Scratch tells her, "bad thingss" happen to people around her. Such as the incident in which Kanaya killed Terezi. However, listening to him means she has to do bad things, so it's going with the lesser evil, and because one option promises Kanaya's safety, she goes with that one. The one that she can control to a better extent. Vriska in this session is more focused on protecting her friends than canon Vriska is, who is largely wrapped up in herself.

Once the trolls have entered the session, Kanaya breaks off her moirallegiance with Vriska and largely cuts off contact with trolls. Vriska goes on to do what her canon counterpart did in that she does all of her quests in the Land of Graves and Flood, reaches the top of her echeladder, and then ascends to God Tier as the Knight of Life. However, unlike in canon, Vriska in RDV has basically isolated herself from the others while playing. She also traveled to other lands and did quests there that would help out her friends. In RDV, instead of being killed by Aradia, she is killed by Jack Noir after Karkat puts her to sleep on her quest bed. She was the only one of her session to ascend to God Tier.

Vriska deals the final blow to the the Black King, and their session is won. However, like canon, Jack Noir in the kids session has been prototyped with Becquerel and shows up in their session to destroy it. They end up hidden in a laboratory in a Veil similar to canon. Vriska, like her canon counterpart, goes off to fight Bec Noir while Feferi goes on a murder spree and Eridan works with Jade to scratch the sessions and do a hard reset. Vriska is being brought from just after her last conversation with Vriska and heading to fight Bec Noir.

Personality: Vriska is a mixture of her canon counterpart's sassy-ness and Tavros' low self-esteem and confidence issues. It's repeatedly stated time and again that she doesn't think she's able to protect anyone and that she shouldn't be in charge of anyone's lives. She's very, very unsure of herself in most things. She doesn't think she can protect anyone correctly, even if her title dictates that she will. She's quick to doubt herself in conversations with almost everyone she talks to, except with people like Tavros and Kanaya where she can exert a sort of dominance. She has none of canon-Vriska's over confidence or self-centeredness. Whereas canon-Vriska does almost everything for herself and with her friends as an afterthought, RDV-Vriska genuinely does things with other people in mind instead of herself.

That isn't to say RDV-Vriska is without her own faults and without certain aspects of canon-Vriska's personality. For one, she can still be incredibly competitive, as seen with FLARPing. She becomes the one of the best, getting rid of people that would try to kill Kanaya. It's not a necessity to feed her lusus so that she herself won't be eaten, but a necessity to save a friend. And her attitude is still very sarcastic and sassy a lot of the time, when talking to certain people, reminiscent of canon-Vriska's attitude. You only really see this haughty side of her in her conversations with Tavros and Kanaya. And, like canon-Vriska, she is capable of being manipulative. You see this especially with Tavros, because he's easy for her to manipulate. (Unlike canon-Vriska, she doesn't have physic powers to manipulate trolls with, so this manipulation of hers is with words. She does, however, have Tavros's ability to commune with animals.) You also see her being assertive with Kanaya, but this is likely due to the fact that they are best friends and Vriska feels comfortable enough with her to not question herself.

RDV-Vriska is given a role in Sgrub that inspires self-worth, of which she is seriously lacking. She is given a role that, for all intents and purposes, is one that holds the life of her group in her hands. This role is to help her grow and give her confidence which she desperately needs. She spends a good chunk of her canon thinking she's not good enough to trust with lives, even after ascending, unlike canon-Vriska who is constantly too sure of herself and thinks she's capable of saving everyone. RDV-Vriska has a lot more similarities with Tavros than she does with canon-Vriska, as is expected by taking her out of pseudo-aristocracy and putting her into the peasantry.

In general, RDV-Vriska hates herself a lot less than canon-Vriska does, and she actually has a loving relationship with her lusus. She grew up in a much more nurtured environment than canon-Vriska did, and despite having stables to clean and chores to do, she appears to be much more satisfied and settled with her lot in life. She doesn't aspire for greatness, or have the expectations of her Ancestor bearing down on her since she's a lowblood. It allows her a much more peaceful life in which she can focus on other people rather than herself. On having fun instead of trying to be the best to impress everyone. Of taking care of her friends rather than injuring them.

Abilities: She has canon-Vriska's dice, which are presumably able to do the same thing. She has the ability to commune with animals like Tavros. Then God Tier grants her certain specialties as well. With God Tier, she has conditional immortality in which she can only die if her death is justified or heroic. She also has Life powers as a fully recognized Knight of Life. While her strife specibus is dicekind, she is also seen using a sword to strike the final blow against the Black King.
